New here?
And wondering if it’s right for you? We get it. It’s normal to think you have to be flexible, strong, or experienced to try yoga. But this couldn’t be farther from the truth. It’s called a yoga “practice” not a yoga “perfect” for a reason. We’ve all had ups and downs in our own practice. Trials and tribulations. But the benefits far outweigh the speed bumps. And each one of us started in our own way and we’ve grown in our individual practices on our own time. With each class, we promise that you’ll get more comfortable and see the benefits that yoga can bring into your life. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
What to expect
All of our classes are taught in a small, intimate setting under the warmth of infrared heat lamps.
HotFlo is a great place to start if you’re new to infrared heat and hot yoga. It is suitable for all levels, and no experience is necessary. BlissFlo45 and Stretch are also for all levels with no experience necessary. PowerFlo is open to all levels, but some experience will be helpful. IgnyteSculpt, HotHIIT, and PowerHIIT45 ask that you take at least two HotFlo or PowerFlo classes before attending.
All classes are 60 minutes unless the class description says otherwise. BlissFlo45 and PowerHIIT45 are 45 minutes. IgnyteSculpt45 is the shorter version of IgnyteSculpt.
Infrared hot yoga feels closer to practicing in the warmth of the sun than to a room of forced hot air. The panels warm you, your mat, and other objects in the room, and they disperse heat evenly and silently. Stretch, PowerFlo, IgnyteSculpt, HotHIIT, and PowerHIIT45 are heated to 90°F.
What to bring
Wear comfortable athletic wear and bring your own yoga mat, sweat towel, and any yoga props you may have, such as blocks and straps. The studio provides kettlebells and dumbbells for the high-impact classes.
If you forget something, the studio has yoga mats, blocks, water bottles, and apparel available.
Arrive early
Please arrive 15 minutes early and plan to stay for the duration of the class. Arriving early gives your body time to adapt to the heat. Space is limited, so reserve your spot in advance on the Mindbody schedule.
If you can’t make a class, the cancellation window is 12 hours, so someone else can take the spot. Otherwise the studio charges a no-show fee of $15 to the card on file.
Hot room tips
- Dress lightly. Women may want a tank top and light yoga pants or shorts. Men may want a fitted t-shirt and shorts. Dress for comfort, and avoid heavy clothing that traps heat against your body.
- Drink plenty of fluids before, during, and after class.
- Avoid a full stomach, so try not to eat in the hour before class. Don’t come on an empty stomach either.
- Pay attention to your body. Rest if you need to, and stay alert to the signs that you may have reached your level of heat tolerance.
The full list is on the policies page.
